As the largest lake in the British
Isles, Lough Neagh has always been synonymous with fishing.
The rivers flowing into the Lough and the small lakes surrounding
it offer fine fishing. Salmon, pollen, perch, bream, roach
and Dollaghan (Lough Neagh Trout) are among the species
to be found and provide a range of challenges to all sorts
of anglers.
Alan
Kirkpatrick and his colleagues in Lough Neagh Fishing Tours
recognised that there was a gap in the market for fishing
trips operating out of Antrim Lough Shore Park. With a little
imagination, a bit of help from Antrim Borough Strategy
Partnership and a lot of hard work, they got to work and
now fishing tours are up and running.
